Alfredo García Gil.
García Gil has long been established as a social commentator, portraying in his paintings our everyday concerns about consumerism, overpopulation, politics, our own vulnerability as human beings, etc. Nevertheless, his humoristic and confronting style has placed his works amongst the most admired Guatemalan artists.
García Gil was born in Antigua Guatemala and is a self taught artist. He has participated in numerous one man shows and has represented Guatemala in important exhibitions outside the country.
